ReadyHaven Gear Guides is an independent review site focused on one thing: emergency preparedness gear that works when everything else fails. We cover emergency weather radios, emergency lighting, and survival kits / bug-out bags.
Why we exist
When a hurricane, ice storm, or blackout hits, the gear you bought in a calm moment is the gear you depend on. Most product listings tell you what a manufacturer wants you to hear. We dig into specifications, compare models side by side, study patterns in verified owner feedback, and publish the trade-offs plainly — including who should skip a product.
How we research
- Spec-by-spec comparison across every product in a category — battery types, runtimes, lumens, NOAA band support, and real dimensions.
- Owner-feedback patterns — we look for recurring praise and recurring complaints across large numbers of Amazon ratings, and we link you to the full reviews on Amazon rather than quoting them.
- Video reviews — where available we embed independent YouTube reviews so you can see the product in action.
- No pay-for-placement. Brands cannot pay for a better rating or a featured slot.
